Dr Ivity specializes in working with children and adults diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders and also provides services to families who have a member with neurodivergence/neurodevelopmental differences. She provides a multidisciplinary approach to treatment, working closely with other professionals, including paediatricians, general practitioners, school-based teams, Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Social Workers to provide evidence-based client-centered psychotherapy and consultation services.
Dr Ivity holds an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in the Departments of Medicine and Educational Psychology from the University of Alberta. Her Master’s and Doctoral Research focused on supplementation of Omega 3 fatty acids in children diagnosed with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Dr. Ivity has a diverse work history: school based service provision, government-funded mental health settings and private clinical settings.
Dr Ivity has been providing empathetic and supportive psychological services for over twenty years. Dr Ivity provides evidence-based treatment through varied psychotherapeutic modalities including: Family Systems therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Mindfulness practices.
